Farah Nabulsi

Academy Award Nominated and BAFTA Award Winning Palestinian British filmmaker.
In 2016 she started working in the film industry as a writer & producer of short fiction films. This includes Today They Took My Son, endorsed by British Director Ken Loach and screened at the United Nations. The PRESENT, her directorial debut, which she also co-wrote and produced, won over 50 International Film Festival Awards, a BAFTA Award and an Oscar Nomination. The Present was licensed internationally including to Canal+ and Netflix Worldwide.

A member of the Producers Guild of America and the Moving Picture Institute’s senior vice president.
She works with the executive staff to develop and produce MPI Original Films. She also works with filmmakers in MPI’s talent development programs, including a short film lab, and runs MPI masterclasses. Her various producer credits include the short film A Piece of Cake starring Rich Sommer (Official Selection Tribeca Film Festival, Nominated for Best Narrative Short); digital comedy series We’re Doing Good (Official Selection SXSW); feature-length documentaries Los Últimos Frikis (Official Selection DOC NYC).
Joyce Pierpoline

A producer of award-winning films and founder of Pierpoline Films, based in New York. She recently executive produced Mediha, winner of the Grand Jury Prize at DOC NYC 2023; other films include The Listener, starring Tessa Thompson and directed by Steve Buscemi, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival; The Transfiguration, at the Cannes Film Festival; Sundance award-winning cult favorite Teeth, considered one of the top 10 political horror films of all time; Happy Tears, Angelica, and the multi awarding-winning first film by Neil Labute, In the Company of Men.
Laurence Boyce
Jury Committee
His career began in 1999 as a programmer and moderator for the Leeds International Film Festival. He relocated to Tallinn, Estonia in 2010 and works for the Black Nights Film Festival. He has worked as both a programmer for the festival’s main competitions as well being the Head of Programme (Live Action) for PÖFF Shorts, the short film section of the festival.
He is also an award winning film journalist who writes for numerous publications amongst them Screen International, Sight and Sound, The Guardian and Cineuropa.
He is a member of FIPRESCI, the London Critics Circle, the European Film Academy and BAFTA.
